Dan's note: wow this Is one of my fave rtx bootlegs. I cant believe they play shockwave rider in this. and it sounds perfect. ridiculous setlist showing a time between albums when they were getting proper freak mode. "This is one of the most interesting videos around, as it shows the relatively brief period where the band revisited the duo+backing tracks method that they had last done in 1990 for the Twin Infinitives tour. This time they prepared more elaborate backing tracks, and Neil played violin a few songs which gave them an even stranger edge than usual. After a few more shows like this, the pair picked up the members who made up the Thank You-era band (Chris Pyle, Dan Brown and Robbie Armstrong), signed with Virgin and maintained various full-band type lineups for the remainder of their career. The show itself is enjoyable but pretty ramshackle - there's a lot of issue with the monitors and equipment problems, culminating in their drum machine and backing tracks breaking down, after which the pair play the last few songs with just guitar and vocals.
